About the Title Plant

Platted's integrated title plant contains recorded documents indexed by property and instrument number. This is the primary source for documents in your title examinations.

The title plant allows you to:

  • Search for documents by property details or instrument number
  • Preview documents before adding them to an order
  • Import individual documents or bulk import multiple documents
  • Automatically process and extract data from imported documents

Primary Document Source

The title plant is where the majority of your exam documents come from. Use the plant to find:

  • Deeds and conveyances
  • Mortgages and deeds of trust
  • Liens and releases
  • Plats and easements
  • Any recorded document affecting the property

For documents not in the plant (such as purchase contracts or title requests), use the manual upload feature. See Uploading Documents.

Document availability varies by county. The search interface shows available document types for the selected county.
