Uploading Documents

Upload supporting documents that aren't available in the title plant.

When to Upload

Use manual upload for documents such as:

  • Purchase contracts and agreements
  • Title requests from clients
  • Earnest money documents
  • Prior title policies
  • Any document not in the title plant

For recorded documents (deeds, mortgages, liens), use the Title Plant Search instead.

Accessing the Upload Area

  1. Open an order from the Orders dashboard
  2. Go to the Documents tab
  3. Find the upload zone

Upload Methods

Drag and Drop

Drag files directly from your computer onto the upload zone. You can drag multiple files at once.

Click to Browse

Click the upload zone to open a file browser. Select one or more files to upload.

Supported File Types

  • PDF - Required format for all documents

Upload Process

When you upload a document:

  1. Uploading - File transfers to the server (progress shown)
  2. Processing - AI analyzes the document
  3. Complete - Document appears in the table

Processing typically takes 10-30 seconds depending on document length.

Document Tables

After upload, documents appear in one of two tables:

Exam Documents Table

Title documents for examination. These contribute to the chain of title.

Supporting Documents Table

Non-title documents like contracts and requests.

The system automatically categorizes documents, but you can change the category manually.

Bulk Upload

You can upload many documents at once. They'll process in parallel and appear as they complete.
